Due to low participation, the Board has made the decision to cancel the Training Day originally scheduled for Saturday, May 17. Only one club member and two non-club individuals had registered.

The Annual Meeting, which was to follow the Training Day luncheon, will now be held on Monday, May 19 at 7:30 PM via Zoom. The meeting link is provided in the email sent to members.

We strongly encourage you to attend, as we will be inducting two new Board members and reviewing the results of the recent amendment ballot. In addition, we will hold an open discussion to gather input on the types of activities members would like to see the club offer.

Currently, SVGSPC sponsors four hunt tests, a mock test, and supports a breed specialty show. In the past, we have also hosted a Fun Day in May and more recently a Training Day. While last year’s Training Day saw good attendance, participation this year was minimal. We are now considering new event options, such as hosting an AKC Fetch Test.

These events require a significant amount of time and effort to organize and execute. Low participant turnout is understandably discouraging for those who volunteer their time. Therefore, your feedback is critical.
